Executive Certificate Short Courses (Procurement Standards)

Overview: The executive short courses in Procurement are designed for 3 to 5 days. Both are inter-disciplinary professional and proficiency capacity-building programmes for developing human resources and capacity in managing procurement in both the public and private sectors.

Target Participant: The training programmes are intended for capacity development of public servants, private and civil society personnel, graduates and the unemployed who are taking on procurement responsibilities or who wish to acquire professional skills in procurement.

Mode of Study: The curriculum will be taught through classroom contact, e-mediums, multimedia resources and presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, case studies and participant feedback mechanisms. Industry instructors will also be deployed to provide field perspectives on Procurement practice

Executive Certificate Short Courses (Environmental Standards)

Overview: The Executive short Courses in Environmental Standards are 3 ? 5 days Programme. It is an inter-disciplinary professional and proficiency capacity-building programme for developing human resources and capacity in Environmental Standards as an international benchmark to be delivered by seasoned international practitioners and trainers experienced in managing environmental risks, impacts and safety of public and private sector institutions. Certificates of Attendance and/or Proficiency will be awarded to the candidates upon completion of the Executive Short course. It is designed for enhancing the ability of the participants to conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies. Improving the participant?s understanding, knowledge and application of the international environmental and social best practice, especially the World Bank?s Safeguard Policies and the Environment and Social Framework (ESF). Improving the participants? capability to identify and manage environmental and social issues in projects, particularly in accordance with the ESF. Enabling the participant?s ability to meet and respond to Terms of References of the ESIA, and to carry on efficient and high-quality ESIA.

Target Participant: Participants shall be mostly from environmental/social reviewers in national/local agencies, ESIA practitioners from the private sector, national and local consulting firms, individual practitioners associated or not, to academic and technical institutions.

Mode of Study: Content delivery will be conducted by dual (Physical and virtual) mode.

Fees: This novel capacity building programme is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria aimed at producing a critical mass of professionals and career growth opportunities for Nigerians in particular, in the areas of Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards and internationally. It is therefore tuition-free. However, a token administration fee will be charged for al levels of applicants.

Executive Certificate Short Courses (Social Standards)

Overview: The track A courses in Social Standards are designed for 3 to 5 days, the training programmes provide opportunities for a bridge in knowledge to participants so that they can offer high quality services in Social Standards in both the public and private sectors. Certificates of Attendance and Proficiency respectively, shall be awarded to the participants upon completion of the short courses. These courses are intended to enhance the capacity of participants to understand the application of basic principles and methodology of Social Standards to solve social problems. The Resource persons are seasoned local and international experienced practitioners and trainers.

Target Participant: The executive short courses tracks are suitable for civil servants, private and civil society, employed individuals, graduates and unemployed individuals as well as school leavers. The training programmes are intended for capacity development of the trainees.
